Saving huts and paths together

Gemeinsam Hütten und Wege retten

snowline Spikes supports the campaign "Emergency call from the Alps – Save huts and paths together!"

The Alps are a precious natural wonder and a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. However, the alpine infrastructure faces major challenges. Currently, 272 mountain huts and 50,000 km of hiking trails are in acute distress. Alpine clubs are forced to abandon an average of three to four huts annually, and many trails are threatened with closure or abandonment. The deterioration of Austria's alpine infrastructure is a serious problem that we must tackle together.

For this reason, the Austrian Friends of Nature, the Austrian Alpine Club, the Association of Austrian Alpine Clubs (VAVÖ), and the Austrian Tourist Club (ÖTK) have launched the campaign "Emergency Call from the Alps – Save Huts and Trails Together!" This initiative aims to raise urgently needed funds for the preservation of huts and trails and to send a strong message for the protection of our mountains.

At snowline Spikes, we actively support this campaign. We call on all mountain enthusiasts and nature lovers to sign the petition to save the Alpine infrastructure! Together, we can prevent our mountain huts and hiking trails from being further endangered. Your commitment is important!

You can also support the campaign by making a donation or becoming a member of one of the supporting organizations. Every contribution counts and helps us protect the Alps!
